A concept school is based on the philosophy of holistic learning. It is based on the premise that each person finds an identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and humanitarian values such as compassion and peace. Any philosophical approach to education should ask: “What is the goal of education?” As the proponents of holistic education, our answer is: “The goal of education is to develop a student’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social, creative and spiritual dimensions.” Thus, the holistic approach looks at education as ‘transformative’ rather than being a tool to ‘transmit’ information. The process of learning should make a person transform by way of habit and behavioural change. Green Valley International School is guided by UNESCO’s four pillars of education
