Where India's teachers find their next organization

It is stated on the posting rather than left for the interview — open a role and the description says whether a central or state eligibility test is required. It is common for CBSE and government-aided posts and optional at many private organizations. Search has a CTET filter, so you can narrow to roles that match the certification you already hold, alongside filters for city or state, role, subject, board, employment type and salary.

For TGT and PGT posts a B.Ed alongside a subject degree at the right level is the usual baseline; PRT and pre-primary roles more often accept a D.El.Ed, an NTT or a Montessori certification. Each listing states what its panel expects and which board the organization runs — CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE or a state board — so you can tell before applying whether you meet the bar.

Yes. Creating a profile, browsing every posting and applying to as many roles as you like is free for teachers, anywhere in India, permanently. There is no premium tier, for teachers or for organizations — an organization publishes ten roles at a time free as well, and only talks to us about paying if it needs more open at once.

To be verified, an organization has its registration or licence checked with the local education authority, its campus address and curriculum accreditation confirmed, and the person posting confirmed as working there. Verified organizations carry a Verified badge on their profile and on every role they post. Not every live listing is from a verified organization yet — part of the catalogue was imported from public listings — so a role without the badge has not been through those checks. The badge, and its absence, is shown on each posting so you can tell which you are looking at.

That is how a great deal of hiring on Jobors happens. First-round panels run over video, demo lessons are recorded or taught live to a class online, and offers are usually issued well ahead of the April session so there is time to serve notice and shift. Your profile carries your notice period, your earliest start date and the cities you would move to, so organizations can plan around them.

You choose who can find your profile when you sign up — “Visible to organizations” is pre-selected — and you can change it at any time with “Make profile public” under Edit profile. While your profile is visible and you are marked open to work, schools and institutes hiring on Jobors can find you in their candidate search, which only signed-in organization recruiters and admins can use; it shows your name, headline, designation, city, years of experience and subjects. A visible profile also has a summary page at a long, unguessable jobors.com/profiles/… address that shows your headline, designation, city, years of experience, subjects, boards, preferred cities and CTET status, but not your name; anyone holding the link can open it, and search engines are asked not to list it. Other teachers and the public cannot browse or search profiles. Choose Hidden and you are left out of candidate search and your profile page is switched off, but you can still apply: an organization you apply to always sees your application and profile summary. Your email, phone number, current organization, education, employment history, CV and salary are never shown in search or on the profile page — those go only to an organization you have actually applied to. We never sell candidate data or pass it to agencies, and you can export everything or delete your account and its applications outright at any time.
