About the Organization:

Forest Hill Academy was started in the year 1990. It was conceived by the management with a view to bring good education and fluency in English and maintain local cultural inheritance.

The Founder Principal was Mr.Geoffrey Jan Bensley who had 3 decades of teaching experience at Chennai. It was with him and his team that the school started with 6 staff and 3 children on the 3rd June 1990 at vettaikaranpudur. The school was started in the town at the ancestral home of the management. Now the campus had been shifted to a larger area with 16 acres and lot of vegetation to suit the name of the school.

Position: Primary Teacher

Primary Purpose:

The Primary Teacher develops schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. He/she facilitates learning by establishing good relationships with students and by the effective organisation of learning resources and the classroom learning environment.

Qualifications: Candidate must be B.Ed qualified with Graduation.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.

Experience: At least 3 years experience in teaching to primary grade.

Brief Role:

1. Capable to teach the concerned subject.
2. Prepare daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines
3. Develop children's interests, abilities and coordination using creative activities such as Art, Music and Sport
4. Use Computers to assist with lesson preparation, teaching and reporting.
5. Develop and maintain good working habits and discipline in classrooms.
6. Supervise students during classes and at other times in the school day, including in the playground during breaks.
7. Attend staff meetings and other training and development sessions.
8. Assess and evaluate students' progress in written and oral work.
9. Discuss students progress and concerns with parents and administrators.
10. Prepare for and attend Parent- Teacher Interviews and other functions.
