Principal College of Nursing

Mandatory Requirements:

1. Masters Degree in any discipline & B. Ed.
2. 10 + years experience as a TGT/PGT Teacher. Experience as Principal/Vice Principal/Administrator will be preferred.
3. Proven history in improving teacher performance.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Purpose: To serve as the chief administrator of a school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position;
2. Provides leadership and administrative oversight for faculty, staff, and programs in the areas of workforce and career education in the disciplines of Nursing;
3. Evaluates and ensures quality in all aspects of instructional programs and staff;
4. Engages faculty and staff participation in support of educational priorities, e.g. program development, program review, curriculum and articulation
5. initiatives, assessment of student learning outcomes and learning college initiatives;
6. Prepares program needs, analyses designed to identify unmet student needs and to recommend new initiatives designed to prepare students as lifelong learners;
7. Provides day-to-day oversight of education culture to ensure a student-centered, learner-centered environment at all levels;
8. Serves as spokesperson for issues pertaining to Nursing;
9. Resolves student issues and complaints in a timely manner;
10. Communicates and interprets policies and procedures;
11. Serves as a liaison between the university, faculty, staff & management;
12. Plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs and services to achieve the goals of a learning college;
13. Develops and oversees instructional budgets, class schedules, classroom and facilities utilization and coordinates programs and services with other college personnel;
14. Serves on various college committees, advisory boards, and task-forces and represents the college on local, regional, and state activities as needed;
15. Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Candidate profile

• UG- B.Sc in Nursing
• PG- MS/M.Sc(Science) in Nursing, Other
• Doctorate : Any Doctorate in Any Specialization
