01 — The role

Job Description

Role and responsibilities:-

  1. Empowerment of staff, students and parents of his/her particular section of the school (resourcing, working in partnership with, ensuring increasing responsibility).
  2. Preparation of the School timetable, allocation of duties and teaching load of the teachers in his/her section.
  3. Providing the necessary facilities to the teachers in her section in the discharge of their duties.
  4. Promotion and detention of students in her section, in consultation with the Principal.
  5. Discipline in her particular section/ block/ wing of the school.
  6. Plan the year's academic work in consultation with the staff and hold staff meetings at least once a month to review the work done during the month and assess the progress of the pupils.
  7. Be responsible for curriculum development, assessment of syllabi, textbooks and prescribe changes in the above with the approval of Management.
  8. Supervise classroom teaching and secure co-operation and coordination amongst teachers of the same subject areas as well as inter-subject co-ordination.
  9. Organize and co-ordinate various non-academic activities through the House system.
  10. Send the progress reports of the students regularly to the parents or guardians.
  11. Send an Annual Report to the Principal updating her about achievements, challenges and areas of needed support in her section of the school.
  12. Help and guide teachers to promote their professional growth, and towards this end actively encourage their participation in courses designed for in-service training and development.
  13. Communicate and reinforce school values, beliefs and objectives frequently to staff, students and parents.
  14. Ensure that all new staffs are acquainted with the values of School through orientation programs.
  15. Encourage opportunities for communication between and among staff, students and parents through regular meetings.
  16. Motivate, guide and supervise the work of the teaching staff of the school

About St. Johns Sr. Sec. School

Parents / Guardians seeking admission for their ward should pay according to school norms – (class LKG to V) to Register the same obtain the Prospectus and Application, for (Rupees four hundred & fifty only) by cash, which is Non-Refundable. This will receive a registration number, which should be quoted in all future correspondence. Registration: The duly completed application form signed by the Father / Mother / Guardian should be registered at the school office along with the following documents within five days from the date of receiving. The application submitted beyond the stipulated date will not be registered & remains invalid. The same may be accepted with a Re-Registration fee of Rs.100/-. 1. Recently taken passport size photograph should be affixed on the application form. Submit 2 numbers passport size photo along with the application. 2. Photostat copy of the Original Corporation / Municipal Birth Certificate duly attested by a gazette officer or the bonafide certificate from the school where the ward is presently studying should be submitted. 3. The Photostat copy of the Second Terminal Examination marks of the class studying should be submitted. 4. Transfer Certificate need not be produced at this stage. 5. The application is to be signed by the father of the candidate. If case of father‘s non availability the mother may sign. 6. Overseas Students, Non- Resident Indians and Indians holding passport should submit a Photostat copy of the passport for verification. 7. No student migrating from a school in a foreign country, other than the school affiliated to CBSE Board, Shall be eligible for admission unless an eligibility certificate is produced. The details entered in the application form should be correct in all aspects. Any discrepancy will render the application liable to be rejected.
