Job Description
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Social Science subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Brief Role:
- Capable to teach the concerned subject.
- Prepare daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines
- Develop children's interests, abilities and coordination using creative activities such as Art, Music and Sport
- Use Computers to assist with lesson preparation, teaching and reporting.
- Develop and maintain good working habits and discipline in classrooms.
- Supervise students during classes and at other times in the school day, including in the playground during breaks.
- Attend staff meetings and other training and development sessions.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress in written and oral work.
- Discuss students progress and concerns with parents and administrators.
- Prepare for and attend Parent- Teacher Interviews and other functions.

About SSV Matric Hr. Sec. School
For some years, before 1910, Thiru K.S.Narayana Iyer, Son of Suriyanarayana Iyer of Kodumudi was running an elementary school in a pial of his house at East Agraharam Street, Kodumudi. During February 1910, Thiru Mulanur Muthusamy Gounder, Son of Kumara Gounder of Kalipalayam, near Mulanur, who was then residing at Kodumudi, joined with K.S.Narayana Iyer with the blessings of Sankarachariar of Sirungeri, named the school as “Sri Sankara Vidyasala”.
For the further development of this school, on 06.05.1910 Thiru Narayana Iyer donated his 3 anganam terrace house in East Agraharam Street at Kodumudi and Thiru Mulanur Muthusamy Gounder donated Nanja acres 1.36 and 3 terraced shops and the house on the East of them at Kodumudi, in favour of Sri Sankara Vidyasala.
