Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop dance curriculums and prepare lessons plans.
- Train, rehearse and lead students in school and community dance programs.
- Conduct dance classes according to rules and regulations established by the Board of education.
- Develop and maintain an effective dance education program for students.
- Schedule daily classes to instruct and rehearse within the assigned time.
- Understand the potentials and skills of each student and guide individual students according to their skills.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback and assistance to improve their dance skills.
- Maintain lesson plans and instructional materials for students.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
- Maintain student behavioral standards to ensure a productive and disciplined environment during group rehearsals, practices, and performances.
- Collaborate with school administration to organize dance programs for civic functions and school productions.
- Monitor students in and out of the classrooms.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
- Participate in curriculum development programs, student activities and faculty committees.
- Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
- Attend educational workshops, training and professional improvement programs to maintain professional competence.
- Maintain student grading and attendance records.
- Evaluate student progress and ensure that students complete daily assignments
- A teacher should know at least 3-4 forms of dance.
- The teacher must have the capability of realizing the students proper meaning of movements

- Must stay informed about current developments in the field of specialization
- Should have a Teamwork mentality.
- Be controlled, balanced, and flexible.
- Has good communication skills to teach
- The ability to work different parts of the body together
- A highly developed kinesthetic awareness
- Should have a deeply conceptual and working knowledge
- Should have effective classroom management skills
Qualification: BA/B.Ed, Diploma in Dance.
Experience Required: Minimum 3 - 5 Years.
